Summer Horse Show '05

Let's show the world what owning a horse in Alaska is all about.  Send us your photos and we'll post them here.

Here are some photos from the 2006 Summer

Alaska can be a beautiful place but also a very harsh place for horses.  Click here to visit Alaska Equine Rescue, a great organization.

These photos show a horse who was first brought into the AER Program and the same horse after some tender loving care and a loving new home.  Please help our horses.  Feed and hay are very expensive in Alaska and some folks just can't afford to take care of them.  Other horses are used for "packing" by hunting guides and then are sometimes turned loose when the snow flies to fend for themselves.

The photos above were submitted by Tammy Pennington of Pennington Ranch     showing off some of her horses both in winter and in summer.
